Guru Nanak General Store

Guru Nanak General Store is located at 36 JP Road in Shivpuri. It’s a small shop that’s been around for a bit. We carry all sorts of stuff that people might need in a pinch. The road outside can get quite dusty, so I’m usually wiping down the counters a few times a day. It’s just a one-room setup with shelves lining every wall. I try to keep it all sorted, but things tend to get moved around when it’s busy. We have snacks, toiletries, and some basic kitchen items. Shivpuri is a decent place to have a business like this. Most of the customers are people walking home from the bus stop or those who live just a few doors down. I don't use a computer for the bills; I just do the math in my head or on a small calculator. It’s a simple way of doing things, and it works for us. The storefront is plain and doesn't have any big lights. I usually sit on a stool by the door so I can see who is coming. Sometimes my son comes by to help with the heavy lifting. It’s not a complicated life. We just open up, sell what we have, and close when the street gets quiet. It’s just a local shop for the people on JP Road to get their bits and pieces. We are here every day of the week except for some holidays.
