Gupta Dolly Ice Cream

You can find Gupta Dolly Ice Cream in Mazgaon, right above the Bank of Baroda at number 215. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we’re there. We’ve been here for a long time now. The building is old and has that specific smell of dust and paper from the bank downstairs. We don't have a lot of space, but it’s enough for what we do. Mazgaon is a busy place with lots of history. We see a lot of the same faces every day. People coming to the bank often stop by or just wave. We aren't a big factory or anything. It's just a small operation. We keep the machines running and try to stay cool, which isn't always easy given what we make. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble, but that’s just part of being in an older building. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to tell our story. We just make the ice cream and sell it. It's simple work, really. Most of our day is spent cleaning and making sure everything is ready for the next batch. The sun hits the windows in the afternoon and makes it really bright. We like the view of the street from up here. You can see everything going on below. We’ve stayed at 215 because it works for us. It’s our little spot in the city.
