Gupta Brothers Kiran General Stores

Gupta Brothers Kiran General Stores is just a small shop here at Dheeraj Savera in Borivali East. We’ve been around for a while now, sitting right at Shop No 4. Most of the people around Khat walk in for their daily things like milk, bread, or maybe some pulses and oils. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing for work. We try to keep the shelves full, but sometimes things run out faster than we can restock. My brother and I manage the place mostly. It gets a bit crowded behind the counter when we have a lot of bags to pack. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just shelves stacked with soap, biscuits, and grains. Some days the delivery trucks come late and we have to wait around near Walkeshwar to get the stock in. We know most of our customers by name since they live right here in the building or nearby. It’s noisy because of the traffic outside, but we’re used to it. We don't really do big advertising. People just see the sign and come in for what they need. Sometimes we help carry the heavy bags to the rickshaws outside. It’s just a regular local kirana store doing its thing every day from morning till late evening. We keep a diary for the regular accounts and try to keep the change ready, though we always seem to run out of coins. We also keep some sweets for the kids. It stays busy.
