We are up here on the fifth floor of Shree Laxmi Enclave, tucked away in Kanungo Estate. It's a busy spot on the Mira - Bhayandar Road. Most days we are just sitting here at our desks in Room 504, answering the phone and trying to get travel bookings sorted out. There is always a lot of noise coming from the road below, but you get used to it after a while. We started doing this a while back because we wanted to work for ourselves. It is not always easy, especially when the internet goes slow or the printer starts acting up right when a customer is waiting. We keep a lot of maps and brochures around, though most things are digital now. Sometimes people walk in from the estate just to ask for directions, and we help them out. The lift in this building can be a bit slow during the lunch hour, so we usually just stay put and eat at our desks. We spend a lot of time looking at screens, trying to find decent prices for flights or trains. It’s just us here, doing the work day in and day out. Mira Road is a crowded place, but it feels like home to us. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go in this building, but we are still here, just doing what we do. It’s a simple setup, nothing fancy, just some desks, chairs, and a lot of paperwork to file.
