We are located in the New Timber Market area of Bhawani Peth, right near the bus stand in Kanjurmarg East. It’s an interesting spot because there is a lot of wood and construction stuff around, and then there’s us with the flowers. It makes for a bit of a contrast. The shop is pretty basic. We have some shelves and a lot of plastic buckets for the water. Since we are near the bus stand, we get a lot of foot traffic. People are always coming and going. We keep a steady supply of common flowers, but we also try to have a few different things if the market has them. Working in Kanjurmarg East is good because it feels like a real community. We don't have a big marketing plan or a fancy brand. We are just a local florist trying to make a living. Most of our day is spent checking the stock and talking to people who walk in off the street. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the timber market nearby, so we have to wipe down the leaves quite often. It’s just one of those things you deal with. We aren’t trying to be anything we’re not. We just sell flowers and keep our shop open for the neighborhood. It’s a quiet life for the most part, despite the noise of the buses outside.
