Our place is at unit 204 in the Mazgaon Bhusari Colony. It is right on Paud Road, which most people know is usually packed with cars and bikes all day long. We are quite close to the Rajesh Hotel, so that is usually what we tell people when they are trying to find the entrance to the colony. Engineering work involves a lot of sitting at desks and looking at parts, and that is mostly what we do here throughout the week. The office isn't anything special to look at. We have some old chairs and a lot of papers scattered about because there is always a project or a drawing that needs attention. It gets a bit noisy when the traffic picks up outside, but we are used to it by now. The tea stalls nearby are where we usually end up during the afternoon break. Being in a spot like this means we see the same faces every day, from the delivery guys to the other people working in the same block. We don't spend much time worrying about how the shop looks as long as the work is getting done and the measurements are right. Sometimes we stay late when a job is tricky, and the streetlights on Paud Road are the only things still on. It’s a simple setup and it works for us. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on the desk.
