About Good Will Florist – Event & Planning in Mumbai
Up here on Lakdi Bunder Road in Cumballa Hill, things stay pretty steady at Good Will Florist. Our little spot at 49/B isn't huge, but it fits everything we need. Most of the folks living around here know us by now. I usually start the day before the sun is even up, checking what came in and cleaning up the workspace. It's a bit of an old building, so you have to get used to the quirks of the place. We’ve got flowers tucked into every corner. It smells like wet dirt and crushed petals most of the time, which isn't a bad thing at all. We aren't into those overpriced, stiff arrangements you see in magazines. I mostly just put together what looks okay and what people ask for when they walk in the door. Cumballa Hill is a nice area, though parking on Lakdi Bunder Road can be a real pain for our regulars. I spend a lot of time trimming thorns and making sure the water in the vases stays clear. It's repetitive work, but I like the quiet of it. Sometimes I forget to take a break because there's always something to sweep or a bucket to refill. We just do our thing here, keeping the shop open and making sure there’s enough variety for whoever stops by. It’s just us and the flowers, day in and day out. I sometimes worry the building needs paint, but for now, the flowers cover the old walls. It feels like home, even with the dampness. We aren't trying to be anything we're not.
