Good Luck Paints & Hardware is located at 523 Chira Bazar. If you’ve ever walked through Chira Bazar, you know it’s one of the busiest places you can find. There are shops everywhere and people are always looking for something. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling with cans of paint and bins of hardware. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we get several people in at once. We’ve got brushes, tools, and every color you can think of tucked away somewhere. Usually, we know exactly which shelf has what, even if it looks a bit messy to someone else. The air always smells a little bit like metal and fresh paint. We’ve been at 523 for a long time now. People from the neighborhood stop by for a few nails or a gallon of primer. We spend a lot of time helping people figure out what they need for their home repairs. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy boxes around. Chira Bazar is noisy and bright, and we’re right in the thick of it. We don't have a website or anything fancy; we just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes in. It’s a local way of doing things. Sometimes we sit on the stools behind the counter and just watch the street life go by when it’s quiet. It’s a hard day’s work but we like the people around here.
