Golden Leather Goods Manufacturing Co is located over at 99-B in the Idea Apartment building in Byculla West. It is more of a workspace than anything else, really. When you walk into the building, it feels like a regular residential place, but our unit is where all the leather work happens. We have been here for a good amount of time now. The smell of the leather is the first thing you notice when you open the door. It’s a strong scent that just stays in your clothes all day. We have various tools and machines spread out across the room, and there is usually a pile of scraps near the cutting table. It isn’t the tidiest place, but we know where everything is. Being in Byculla West is convenient because we are close to our suppliers, even if the traffic on the way here is a nightmare some afternoons. I spend most of my day sitting on a wooden stool working on different pieces. My hands are usually a bit stained from the dyes we use. We don't really have a big sign or a fancy entrance. People usually find us because they heard about us from someone else or they live in the apartment block. It’s just a practical setup for making things. We don't do much marketing or anything like that. We just focus on getting the orders finished. Some days are quieter than others, but there is always something to stitch or glue, I guess.
