You can find us in Sheetal Apartment, right across from the Cafe Coffee Day in Santacruz East. It’s a nice enough area, and having the cafe across the street means there are always people walking around. We sell bags of different kinds, mostly just practical ones for daily life. The shop is on the ground floor, so it’s easy to just step in off the sidewalk. We have some wooden racks that we built ourselves to hold the stock. They aren't perfectly straight, but they do the job just fine. We keep the more expensive looking stuff in the front and the everyday backpacks toward the back. It’s usually just one person working at a time. We don't have a computer system or anything, just a notebook where we write down what we sold. It’s an uncomplicated way to do things. Sometimes the light in the back room goes out and we have to wiggle the wire to get it back on. It’s an old building, after all. We get a lot of students and office workers who are just looking for something to carry their things. We don't try to push anything on anyone; we just let them look around. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, mostly because we don’t like to rush things. We’re usually here until about eight at night, unless it’s a holiday.
