Global Paints

We are located at Plot No 11 in Mani Bhawan, right in the middle of Goregaon West. Being on Dr Wilson Street means it stays pretty noisy most of the day, mostly because we are right opposite the Cinemax Theatre. You can hear the crowds coming out after the movies finish. Our shop, Global Paints, is basically just rows and rows of paint cans and brushes. The shelves are a bit dusty and the floor has some permanent paint stains that we stopped trying to scrub off years ago. It’s just how it is when you’re moving heavy buckets around all day. People come in from Jawaha or nearby streets asking for specific shades of white or beige. We spend a lot of time just opening lids and showing people the actual colors. Sometimes the mixing machine makes a loud racket, but it gets the job done. The air usually smells like chemicals and fresh plastic. We keep a small desk in the corner for doing bills and a few old chairs for anyone who needs to wait. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan running on high. We aren't a big fancy showroom, just a local spot where you can get what you need for your house. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot from this window. It's a busy life here in Goregaon, but we like being right where the action is near the cinema.
