Glaciers Ice Cream

My name is some guy who works here at Glaciers Ice Cream in Byculla Yogi Nagar and I usually get here around noon. It is not a very big shop but we have enough space for the freezers and a few people to stand around while they wait. Byculla gets really humid in the afternoons so the air conditioning is always running or we try to keep the doors shut to save the cold air. People from Yogi Nagar walk by after work or school and they just want something cold to hold. We spend a lot of time just wiping down the glass counters because the kids leave fingerprints everywhere looking at the tubs. I do not think much about the fancy stuff you see in malls because we are just a local spot. Sometimes the delivery truck comes late and we have to move fast to get everything inside before it starts melting on the sidewalk. Most days are quiet until the sun starts going down and then everyone shows up at once wanting a scoop or a cone. I usually just stay behind the counter and keep things moving. We have been here in this part of Byculla for a while now and most of the neighbors know us by name. It is just a job where you deal with ice cream all day and try to keep the floors clean from the sticky drips that happen when people are not careful with their napkins.
