Giriraj Travels

We've been at Shop No 2, Plot No 355 in Pranee for a while now. It's right there in Vile Parle East, the 7th Block area. If you know where the Telephone Exchange is, we are just behind it. We handle travel stuff for people nearby. Sometimes the traffic outside the shop gets really busy, but we're usually here if you want to drop in. It’s a small place, nothing fancy at all. We just help with tickets and trips. My uncle started this, and now I mostly run things. Most days are quiet unless it's holiday season. We keep a couple of old chairs for people to sit while we look things up on the computer. It's easier to talk in person than on the phone sometimes. Vile Parle East is a nice neighborhood. We know most of the people who walk past our door every morning. The 7th Block has changed over the years, but the Telephone Exchange is a good landmark to find us. We don't have a big sign, just the name Giriraj Travels painted on the shutter. If the shutter is halfway down, it means I just stepped out for tea or to run an errand. You can just wait a few minutes and I'll be back. We try to keep things simple here. No big glossy brochures or loud music playing. Just work. People come in, ask about trains or flights, and we see what we can find for them. It’s just how we do things every day here.
