Gbc Holidays Pvt Ltd is located in Goregaon West at Shop No 9. It’s a small shop, easy to miss if you aren't looking for it, but we’ve been here long enough that most of the neighbors know us. We spend most of our mornings opening up and getting the computers running to check on all the holiday bookings we have pending. It's a lot of back-and-forth with hotels and transport guys, and sometimes things don't go exactly as planned, so we spend a lot of time fixing small issues. The office isn't very big, so when three or four people come in at once, it feels quite cramped and loud. We have some posters of mountains and beaches on the walls, mostly just to cover up some of the damp spots from the last monsoon. We don’t use any of those big corporate strategies; we just talk to people and figure out what they can afford for their vacations. Dealing with the traffic in Goregaon is enough of a task, so we try to make the travel part of things a bit less of a chore for the families who come to see us. It’s a lot of routine work, typing in names and dates and making sure the names are spelled right on the tickets. We just keep our heads down and get the bookings sorted one by one until it’s time to lock up the shop at night and go home ourselves.
