Gautam Stores

Gautam Stores is found at Plot No-14 on Keshavji Naik Road. We are right in the heart of Bhat Bazar in the Chinch Bunder Mandvi area. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded and loud this neighborhood is. There are handcarts, trucks, and people everywhere you look. Our shop has been in this same spot for many years. It is a small space, and we have filled every inch of it with stock. We have wooden shelves that reach all the way to the ceiling, and we use old ladders to get to the items at the top. It can be a bit chaotic during the peak hours of the market when everyone is trying to buy things at once. We don't have a computer to track our inventory; we still use the old-fashioned way of writing everything down in big ledger books with a pen. It might seem slow to some people, but it works for us and we never lose our data. The heat in Mandvi can be quite intense, especially with so many people around, so we just keep the small fan on the counter running all day long. We know all the other store owners on Keshavji Naik Road. We often share news about the market or talk about the weather while we have our afternoon tea. We don't try to be anything we are not. We are just a local store serving the people who come to Bhat Bazar every day.
