Garuda Travels

Our office is situated in Andheri West, inside the Mona Shopping Centre at shop number 40. It’s a busy little spot and there’s always something happening in the corridors of the mall. Working in travels means we spend most of our day on the telephone or looking at flight schedules on the screen. It can get a bit chaotic when someone’s trip gets cancelled or there’s a problem with a visa. We don't have a fancy lounge for customers; it’s just a couple of desks and some old travel posters on the walls. People walk in while they are doing their other shopping and ask about ticket prices. We’ve been in this same spot for a good while, so we know the regular faces who pass by. The air conditioning in the center sometimes struggles in the summer, but we make do with a small table fan. We don't use any fancy slogans to get people in. Usually, it’s just someone’s uncle or friend who told them to come to us. We try to find the cheapest options, though it’s not always easy with how prices change every hour. It’s a fast-paced job but we like the variety of people we get to talk to. Every day is a bit different depending on where someone wants to go. We just stay at our desks and keep clicking through the booking systems.
