Ganpati Flower Shop

We are located inside the Ashirwade Industrial Estate in Kandivali. It’s an interesting place for a flower shop because it’s mostly surrounded by small factories and workshops. You wouldn't expect to find many flowers here among the grease and the noise of the machinery. But we’ve been here for a while and it works for us. The space is basically a big garage-style unit where we can spread out all the marigolds and roses. During festival seasons, the whole floor is just a sea of orange and yellow. It gets really hectic then, and we bring in extra help from the neighborhood. Most of the time, it’s just the regular crew doing the daily chores. We spend a lot of time sitting on the floor, threading garlands or cleaning up the stems. It’s physically tiring work, and your back definitely feels it at the end of the day. The industrial estate has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of it. We don't have a fancy storefront with glass windows. People know to come back into the estate to find us. It’s a bit gritty, and the air smells like a mix of diesel and jasmine, which is a strange combination if you think about it. We just focus on the flowers and getting them where they need to go. Kandivali is a busy area and we are glad to be right here.
