Ganesh Flower Mart

Mulund West is where we’ve been for quite some time now, right in Babu Niwas at Trivedi Tower. If you know the Roxy Gallery area, you’ve probably walked past us without thinking much about it. It’s a busy spot in Rajgurunagar. Every morning starts pretty early here. We get the crates in before the sun is even really up. The floor gets a bit wet and there are stems everywhere for a while. It’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with fresh stuff every day. People come in mostly for their daily puja needs or maybe a small bunch for home. We don’t have any fancy displays that look like they’re out of a magazine. It’s just us and the flowers. Sometimes it gets loud with the traffic outside, but inside it smells okay, mostly like marigolds and wet earth. We’ve known some of the neighbors for years. They stop by to say hello even if they aren't buying anything. The shop isn't huge, but it fits what we need. We keep the buckets lined up and try to keep things organized, though by noon it usually looks like a bit of a mess again. That’s just life in a flower mart. We don’t do anything too complicated. If someone needs a garland or just a few loose petals, we get it done. It’s steady work and keeps us busy from morning until we close up the shutters at night.
