Frosty Icecream

Our shop is located at Tardeo in the Laiba Court building, right on Mohammad Ali Road at Shop No AS16. It’s a ground floor spot which is helpful because we’re constantly moving heavy containers of ice cream in and out. The area around Mohammad Ali Road is always buzzing, especially late into the night. We spend a lot of our shift standing behind the freezer glass, scooping out different flavors for whoever walks in. The floor is tile and it gets quite cold near the freezers but warm near the front door. We have a few basic tables, but most people just grab their cone and head back out into the crowd. Sometimes the freezer lids get stuck with ice and we have to scrape them down so they close properly. It’s a lot of cleaning the counters and washing the scoops in between customers. We don’t have any fancy decorations, just the menu on the wall and the bright lights over the tubs. During the summer, the line can get out the door, and it gets pretty frantic trying to keep up. We just keep our heads down and keep serving until the shutters go down at the end of the night. It’s a straightforward business, just keeping things frozen and serving the neighborhood here in Tardeo. We usually have to restock the most popular tubs twice a day when it's really humid outside.
