Friends Nature Club

Friends Nature Club is based out of the Veena Sargam Building in Kandivali West. We are up on the fifth floor in room E/504. Mahavir Nagar is a very lively part of town, especially with all the food stalls and people walking around in the evening. We started this whole thing because we really like getting out of the city and seeing some green. We aren't a big travel agency with a lot of staff; it is more of a club feel for people who like the outdoors. We organize walks and trips to see birds or mountains nearby. People from the building and the neighborhood usually join in when they have time. The office is really just a place where we keep our hiking gear and meet up to plan the next outing. It is not very formal at all. You might see some muddy boots or maps lying around on the table. We spend a lot of time on the phone or on the computer checking weather reports. It is a quiet office compared to the noisy street outside. We like to think of it as a small escape from the city life. Usually, on weekends, the office is locked because we are out somewhere in the woods. If you come by on a weekday, you will probably find someone sorting through photos from the last trip. It is a very simple life for us here, just focusing on getting outside whenever we can.
