Freelancer Film Maker

I work out of the Aradhna Building on Veera Desai Road in Andheri West. It’s unit number 2. Being a film maker in Mumbai means you're always on the move, but this is where I keep all my gear and do my editing. The building is an older one, but it has character. Andheri West is always loud and crowded, but that’s just how it is here. I don't have a big staff or a studio with lights everywhere. It’s mostly just me and occasionally a helper or two when a project gets big. There are always rolls of cable and camera bags lying around the floor. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. I spend a lot of late nights here trying to get a cut just right. The neighbors probably wonder about the flickering lights from the monitors. I’ve been at this address for a while now and most of the local shopkeepers know me. It’s not a fancy office, just a room where things get made. I don't go in for big marketing or self-promotion much. I just take the jobs that come my way and try to do them right. Sometimes I'm out on location for days, so the place stays locked up. When I am here, it's all about getting the footage sorted and ready for whoever needs it. It’s a simple life but it keeps me busy enough and I wouldn't change it for a desk job.
