Forest Elements

I’ve been coming to this spot on Tumkur Road in Vile Parle West for years now. It started as just a small corner with some plants, and we called it Forest Elements because of all the wood and green stuff we kept piling up inside. Honestly, most days it’s just me and a couple of others trying to keep the leaves from turning brown in the Mumbai heat. It gets pretty dusty here with the traffic nearby, so we spend half our morning just wiping down the vases. We don't really have a big fancy storefront or anything. It’s just 18 Tumkur Road, a place where people stop by when they’re heading home or maybe going to a friend’s place nearby. The space is a bit cramped because we keep ordering more than we can fit. Sometimes the air conditioner makes this weird humming noise, but we just ignore it. I like the way it smells in the morning right after we’ve done the watering. It’s a messy job, really. Your hands get stained and you’re always finding bits of wire or thorns on the floor. People in Vile Parle know where we are, so we don't bother much with signs. It's just a regular shop where we do our work. If you walk past the main road, you’ll see the green spilled out onto the pavement. That’s usually us.
