Florimaya

Working at Florimaya means coming to the Konark Darshan Building every morning. We are in unit B 204, which is a fairly quiet spot in Pune. Sometimes the elevator in the building takes a while, so some of us just take the stairs to get the blood moving. We have a few desks set up and some shelves for all the items we keep track of. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. The view from the window isn't much, just the other buildings and the street below, but the light is good. We’ve been here for a while and the staff knows the local tea stall guy by name. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy decorations or trying to impress people who walk in. Most of our work is done on the computers or over the phone. Being in Mulund West gives us a good connection to the rest of the city, even if the traffic during rainy season is a total mess. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and try to keep things simple. There’s no big secret to how we operate. We just stay busy and try not to let the small problems get us down. It’s a local business and we like it that way. We spend our evenings wrapping things up before the commute home.
