Fleur

The shop is located at 14 Veer Mahal on the 11th Cross in Lal Baug. It is a small space, but we manage to fit everything in. Most mornings start very early when the trucks arrive with the fresh loads. We spend a lot of time just cutting stems and putting things into buckets of water. Fleur isn't a very big operation, just a few of us working together. The floor usually stays a bit damp from all the splashing, so we have to be careful. Lal Baug is a lively place to be, especially during the festivals when the streets are packed. We see a lot of people walking by our window on their way to work. Some stop in for a single flower and others just nod as they pass. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations in the shop. It is mostly just shelves and various glass jars we have collected over time. When the sun hits the street in the afternoon, it gets quite warm, so we keep the door open for a breeze. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, it can get a bit cluttered with greens and ribbons. That is just how it goes here. We enjoy the routine of the day and the smell of the shop. It is a simple life and we are happy with how things are going.
