Our place is on the 5th floor of the Irene building on Hanuman Road. It's right opposite Cosmos Bank in Vile Parle East. FIYASHISH DEVELOPERS & CONTRACTORS PRIVATE LIMITED has been running from here for some time now. Vile Parle is a crowded area, but we like it. The office is always buzzing. We handle a mix of developing and contracting. It means we're usually stuck between a client and a sub-contractor. It’s a lot of phone calls. Our desks are a mess of sticky notes and half-empty water bottles. We don't really do the whole corporate image thing. If we’re working, we’re working. Sometimes we stay late because a project is at a critical stage. Mumbai is a tough place to build in. There are so many rules and tight spaces. You have to be smart about how you move materials around. We’ve learned a lot over the years. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy website or a glossy brochure. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they saw our sign at a site. Ramabai Chemburkar Marg gets quite noisy, but you get used to it. We just focus on the task at hand. It’s honest work. We take the train or drive through the mess like everyone else. It’s just life in the city. We don’t have time for fancy talks. We just want to see the walls go up correctly. Most of our days are spent checking measurements and talking to the crew on the ground.
