Our office is tucked away in the Navjivan Society, right at unit 103 on B V Marg. It’s not a flashy place, just a solid building where we come to work every morning. Most of us have been sitting at these same desks for a long time, looking over drawings and handling the paperwork for the structuring projects we take on. The neighborhood around here is pretty busy, so there’s always someone coming or going. We have a small team, and we know each other's coffee orders by now. There’s a lot of talking about measurements and materials throughout the day. We don't really have a big reception area or anything like that. People who need to find us usually just walk through the main gates of the society and head for the first floor. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of pens, just like any other place. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the technical side of the work. If you call, someone will pick up, though we might be in the middle of a long conversation about a specific design detail. It’s just how we do things here in our little corner of Mumbai. We’ve seen the streets around B V Marg change a lot over the years, but our unit stays pretty much the same, filled with files and the sound of people typing away.
