You can find us at Vargante Saden on Ganesh Lane, right in the Lalbaug area of Mumbai. We’re pretty close to the Income Tax Building, which makes it easy to explain where we are to people. Our office is at 50/7, and it’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes with all the packages and papers lying around. We handle a lot of deliveries and logistics from here. Lalbaug is a crowded place, especially during the festivals, so getting stuff in and out can be a real challenge. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good while. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. Most of our time is spent tracking shipments and talking to drivers who are stuck in Mumbai traffic. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We know the local tea stall guys and the other shop owners on the lane quite well. It feels like a small community even though the city is so huge. Some days the phones don't stop ringing and other days are a bit more relaxed. We just try to keep the workflow moving so nothing gets backed up. It’s a practical setup, nothing more and nothing less. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and get to work on whatever is on the desk for that day.
