Excel Engineering Works

Our workshop is at A 15 on Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri East. If you know Mumbai, you know how hectic this area can get. We’re right in the thick of it. We do engineering works, which means there’s constant noise from the tools and the machines. It’s an old-fashioned kind of place. We don't have a website or a big social media presence. Most people just walk in or call us on the landline. The space is a bit dark, but we have big lights over the workbenches so we can see what we’re doing. We make parts, fix things that are broken, and handle a lot of metalwork. The floor is concrete and usually has some scrap metal bits scattered around. We try to sweep up at the end of the day, but by the next morning, it’s back to how it was. The traffic on Mahakali Caves Road is a nightmare most of the time, so we hear honking all day long. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly so we can get back to the machines. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most famous. We just want to do the work correctly so people come back when they need something else. It’s just us, our tools, and the daily grind in the city.
