Emirates Airline

Our office for Emirates Airline is located at 167 D’Monte Lane in Orlem. Orlem is a very specific part of Malad that feels more like a village than a big city sometimes. The lane is narrow and there are lots of trees around the older houses. Our building is right there among the homes. It’s a two-story structure and we have our desks set up to handle all the flight details. You can hear the church bells from nearby and the kids playing in the street after school. It’s not a shiny corporate park. We have to be careful when parking the bikes because the lane is so thin. Inside, we have some old wooden furniture and a lot of filing cabinets that have been there for years. The windows stay open most of the time to let in a breeze, even if it brings in some dust from the road. We are a small group here. We know the lady who sells fruit at the corner and the baker down the road. It feels very personal working out of a place like this. We just get on with our tasks, checking the lists and talking to the main office. There’s always someone making a pot of tea in the back. It’s a humble spot for such a big name, but it works for us and we like the quiet of D’Monte Lane. We just do our work and go home.
