You can find us at 14 Raghuraj Bhuvan in Dadar West. It’s an old building, and the shop has that lived-in feel that only comes with time. I’ve spent more hours in this room than I have at my own house, I think. The walls are a bit stained from the water buckets, and there is always a stray petal somewhere on the floor no matter how much we sweep. Dadar is always moving, always loud, and we are right in the middle of that energy. We get our shipments in the dark hours of the morning, and the work starts right then. It’s about cutting, soaking, and sorting through everything that comes off the truck. Some days the flowers look great, and other days they’ve had a rough journey. We don't use any high-tech equipment, just some good scissors and a lot of patience. My family has been around this area for a long time, so we know the local characters who walk past every morning. We don't put on a show or try to look like a corporate office. It’s just a flower shop where the work is messy and the hours are long. If you come in, you’ll probably see me sitting on a stool in the back, working on an arrangement or talking to a delivery guy. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy and connected to the street in Dadar.
