Drive India

You can find us on 4th Road in Khar West. It’s a busy little street in the 400052 area of Mumbai. We go by the name Drive India. Our office is small and tucked between a few other shops. We deal with transport and car-related things. It’s usually just two or three of us in the office at any time. The rest are out on the road. We spend a lot of time on our mobile phones coordinating where cars need to be. There is always a stack of logbooks on the main table. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard. We don't have any corporate training or big manuals. We just learned how to do this by doing it every day. The office has a bit of a dusty smell because of the street outside, but we have a good fan. We’ve been on 4th Road for quite a few years now. The neighbors are friendly and we often share tea in the afternoons. People stop by to ask about rates or to book a trip for the weekend. We write everything down in a big ledger. It’s a straightforward business. We don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We just help people get from one place to another and make sure the drivers know where they are going before they leave.
