Doshi Engineerings Works

You can find Doshi Engineerings Works on Mogra Village Road in Andheri East. It’s a bit of a squeeze getting down those roads sometimes, especially with all the new construction happening nearby. Our shop is an old-school place. We have the name painted on the wall outside, though it’s fading a bit now. Inside, it’s full of metal stock and the smell of grease. We’ve been in Andheri for decades, watching the whole area change from small shops to big glass towers, but we’re still here doing the same kind of work. The floor is concrete and cracked in places, and we have a small desk tucked in the corner for the billing. It’s not the quietest place to work because of the traffic on Mogra Village Road, but you get used to the horns and the shouting. We have a small crew, just local guys who know their way around a lathe. We don't bother with much else besides the jobs on the table. If someone comes in with a part that needs fixing, we take a look and see what we can do. There’s no corporate talk here, just plain English and a bit of grease on the hands. We take our breaks when we can, usually sitting on some crates near the entrance to catch a bit of a breeze. It’s a humble way to earn a living, but it’s ours. We just keep going until the light starts to fade.
