We are located in Ram Maruti Nagar, right opposite Laxmi Printer in the Balkum area of Thane. It is a busy little spot. Being right across from a printer is actually quite handy given we are in the newspaper business. You can usually hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. The office is where we handle the DNA newspaper work for this side of town. It is not a shiny glass tower. It is a practical building where reporters and staff come in to file stories or check on things. We have a lot of old newspapers lying around and the desks are usually covered in notes and pens. Work here doesn't really follow a nine-to-five schedule. News happens when it happens, so someone is always around, even at odd hours. We know the local shopkeepers and the folks at Laxmi Printer pretty well by now. The atmosphere is a bit frantic sometimes, especially when there is a big story or a deadline approaching. We don't have any fancy perks. We just have our desks, our phones, and a lot of work to do. It is a bit dusty and crowded, but it feels like a real workplace. We are not here to look important. We are just here to make sure the paper gets done and people get their news. It is a tough job but we have been doing it at this Thane location for a while now.
