Dhiraj Auto Enterprise is found at Opera House on Dd Sathe Marg. Our shop is in Nanik Niwas, tucked behind the Girgaum Church. It’s a bit of an old-school place, packed from the floor to the ceiling with all kinds of car parts and accessories. If you walk in, you’ll smell the oil and the rubber immediately. We have shelves that go all the way up, and we often have to use a ladder to find what a customer is looking for. It’s a dusty job, and our clothes usually end up with a few grease spots by the end of the shift. We don’t have a flashy showroom or a website. Most of our customers are local mechanics or people who have been coming to us for years. We handle everything from small bolts to larger engine pieces. The counter is an old wooden one where we write down the bills by hand. The area around the church is always crowded, so it’s never quiet outside. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know where every single part is hidden. It takes a lot of time to keep the inventory straight. We just focus on providing the parts people need without any extra talk. It’s a practical business that has been here for a long time. We open the shop early and usually stay until the street gets quiet. It’s just how we operate here in Opera House.
