Chopra Motors

If you go down to Grant Road, specifically near E-6, you’ll find us at Chopra Motors. It’s a greasy, busy place, just like any proper garage should be. I’ve spent more hours under car hoods than I care to count. We take on all sorts of repairs, from simple oil changes to engines that won’t start for love or money. The noise from the street is constant, but you get used to it after a few years. My hands are almost always stained with oil, no matter how much I scrub them at the end of the day. We have a couple of guys working here who really know their way around an engine. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with coffee machines. Most people just stand around and chat while we take a look at their vehicle. Sometimes the parts take a while to arrive because of the mess at the ports or transport delays, so cars end up sitting here longer than we’d like. It’s not a perfect system, but we get the job done. We’ve seen all kinds of cars come through these doors, some held together with string and others brand new. We treat them all the same. It’s hard work, especially when it’s humid, but seeing a car drive out sounding better than when it came in is alright. We just try to keep folks on the road without charging them for things they don't need.
