Shalin Motors

If you look for us, we are in Shop No 2 at Jiya Manjil on Balaram Street. It’s near the Bank of India in Grant Road East. It’s a really crowded area, so finding a place to park can be a bit of a nightmare. The shop itself is pretty small and cramped with parts and boxes piled up almost to the ceiling. We spend most of our time navigating through the narrow aisles or standing out front talking to customers. It’s noisy because of all the people and the traffic outside, but that’s just Grant Road for you. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We handle all sorts of motor parts and help people figure out what they need for their cars. It’s a lot of looking through old catalogs or searching for a specific piece in the back. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic when three people come in at once asking for different things. We just try to keep track of it all. It’s a humble little shop and we don't have any big signs or flashy lights. We just open up in the morning and stay until the street starts to quiet down a bit. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us going and we know most of the regulars. We've seen kids grow up and buy their own cars, then come here for pieces. That's just how this neighborhood is.
