Aman Automobiles

Down here at Gala No 175 on the Golf Line in Jogeshwari West, it’s usually pretty loud. Being in the Patel Industrial area means there is always some kind of machine running or a truck backing up nearby. My shop, Aman Automobiles, is tucked in among a lot of other businesses that do similar work. We spend most of our time dealing with parts and fixing things that have seen better days. The space is filled with tools, some old tires, and stacks of boxes that I really should organize better one of these days. It’s not a showroom by any means. It’s a workspace where things get dirty. I’ve lived around this part of the city for a while, so I know a lot of the other guys working in the industrial estate. We help each other out when someone is missing a tool or needs an extra hand with a heavy engine part. The light inside isn’t great, so we usually have a few portable lamps hanging around to see what we are doing. I don't spend much time worrying about how the place looks to outsiders. If a part works and the customer is happy, that’s enough for me. Most of my day is spent answering the phone or looking under hoods of various cars. It gets hot under the tin roof during the summer months, but we just keep the water bottle full and stay busy with whatever job comes in.
