My place is located deep inside the Ram Laxman Tanning Compound, specifically at number 29. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Ganesh Temple in the Katta Wadi area. Dharavi is a busy place, and Dharavi Cross Road always has something going on at all hours. I started doing this work a long time ago and just kept at it over the years. It’s a bit dusty around the compound because of all the tanning work, but that is just the way the neighborhood is. We mostly deal with the day-to-day operations here. It is a humble setup, nothing like those big offices you see in the city. Mostly, I spend my time making sure things are moving along and the orders are ready. The temple nearby is a good landmark because the lanes around here can get a little confusing if you aren't from the area. People stop by when they need something specific or just to check on how things are going. It’s hard work, and the days are often long, but being in Dharavi means you are always around people you know. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the work gets done right. Sometimes the rain makes the roads a bit messy, but we still open up. It’s just an honest living in a part of town that never really sleeps.
