Mahadani Leather Plus

Our shop is Shop No. 10, right near the O. N. G. C. building in Kamraj Nagar. It’s located on the Bandra Link Road in the Dharavi area. It's a very busy part of the city to be in. There’s always a lot of people and cars moving around right outside our entrance. We deal in all kinds of leather goods, hence the name of the place. We have jackets, bags, and all sorts of small accessories crammed into the space we have. It’s a small shop, so we use every single inch of the walls to hang things up. You have to navigate around the displays carefully. It’s a bit of a squeeze when there are more than two customers inside. We get a mix of local residents and people who are just passing through on the Link Road. The traffic noise is constant, but you eventually get used to it. We spend most of our time checking the quality of the leather we get in. If the hide isn't right, we simply don’t use it for our goods. We do a lot of the finishing work ourselves right here in the back area. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the door wide open. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks to get people in. They see the leather hanging up and they come in to take a look. We’ve been here for years.
