Ganesh Leather Works

Ganesh Leather Works is a small operation located at Shop No. 9 in the L. N. Pawar Chawl. It is a humble place, and we like it that way. When you walk in, you’re greeted by the strong, earthy smell of leather and the sound of tools hitting the bench. We don't have a showroom or any fancy lights. It’s just a workshop where we get our hands dirty every day. We work with various types of leather, cutting and stitching them into whatever needs to be made. It’s a slow process sometimes because we do things by hand or with older machines that require a bit of attention. The chawl is a lively place with a lot of families and other small businesses, so there’s always someone stopping by for a chat. We aren't trying to compete with the big luxury brands you see in the malls. We are just craftspeople who know how to work with our hands. Sometimes the leather is tough to work with, or a needle breaks, but we just pick up another one and keep going. We don't have a website or a marketing team. Word of mouth is usually how people find us. We take pride in just doing a solid day's work and making sure things are built to last. It’s a quiet life in a busy neighborhood, and we are quite content with that.
