Dat Engg

You can find us at B 30 in the Motilal Society. We are located near Amir Baugh Place on Lokhande Margh in Chembur. Chembur is a crowded place but we’ve found a decent spot here in the society. Dat Engg has been running for quite a few years. We do engineering work, mostly small scale stuff that people in the area need. Our workshop is filled with tools and parts that we’ve gathered over a long time. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, there is usually some dust and oil around, but that’s how a real workshop looks. I’m usually there from early morning. My staff consists of a couple of guys from the neighborhood who know their way around a machine. We don't have a fancy office for meetings. Usually, if someone wants to talk, we just stand by the workbench or sit on some crates. It’s more direct that way. We don't bother with brochures or sales pitches. People come to us because they have a problem that needs fixing and they heard we can handle it. The traffic on Lokhande Margh is always a bit of a mess, so we tell people to come early if they can. We just want to get through our list of jobs for the day and do them right. It’s not complicated. We like the work and we like being in Chembur. It’s a good place to be for us.
