D. S. Gupta Construction Pvt. Ltd.

We run D. S. Gupta Construction out of an office in Vinay Sankalp Chs. It is unit C-403 on Plot No. 11 in the NNP Colony area of Goregaon East. Being in a residential housing society makes the office feel a bit more quiet than if we were right on the main road. We spend a lot of our time looking at blueprints and talking to contractors over the phone. Mumbai 400 065 is where we spend our working hours. The office has a few cabinets full of project files and samples of materials we use for building. It’s not a corporate skyscraper or anything like that. Just a regular room with some desks and a computer that sometimes acts up when we have too many windows open. Outside the window you can see the other buildings in the colony and the kids playing sometimes. Parking can be a bit of a headache if you come at the wrong time. We started this because we knew the construction business well and wanted to have our own home base. Every morning we come in, make some coffee, and start checking on the progress of our current sites. The commute through Goregaon can be tough with the traffic but we manage. We’ve got some calendars on the wall with deadlines marked in red pen. It’s a practical space where we just focus on the projects we have in front of us.
