D K Engineering Works & Fabricators is located at Gala No 59 in the Anand Nagar area of Shivneri. It is a bit of a long address to write down because it covers Dahisar and then mentions Karihobanahalli and the Thigalara Palya Road. We are specifically at the Cross 3rd Stage in the 4th Phase. The gala is a standard industrial unit size, and it is where all the fabrication happens. You can hear the sounds of metal hitting metal and the hum of the machines from outside on the street. Anand Nagar is a place where a lot of these small workshops are tucked away. Finding Gala 59 is easy enough once you get onto the 4th Phase road. The area is quite dusty and there are always delivery vans parked along the curbs. Inside the shop, things are kept where they fit. We have tools hanging on the walls and pieces of steel leaning in the corners. It is a practical space, not something designed for looks. The workers here have been doing this for a long time, so they know the layout of the gala by heart. The Thigalara Palya Road is usually the main way in, and it stays busy from early morning until the sun goes down. It is a humble spot but it is where we do all our work every single day without fail. The tea breaks are usually the only quiet time we get.
