Customer Care Executive

Our small office is tucked away in Building No R-13 on Ram Mandir Road in Oshiwara. If you know Mumbai, you know how Oshiwara can be—lots of noise, plenty of cars, and it always feels like something is happening right outside the window. We work as customer care executives, which basically means we spend most of our hours with headsets on, talking to people who need help with various things. It’s not a glamorous job and the office isn’t huge, but we make it work with what we have. We’ve got a few rows of desks and a small area where we keep the kettle for tea and coffee. The building is easy enough to find if you’re looking for it, though the parking around Ram Mandir Road is usually a nightmare, so most of us just take the train or a rickshaw. We deal with all sorts of questions every day. Some people are frustrated when they call, and others are just confused, so we try to stay patient and listen. It’s a lot of talking, and by the end of the shift, your voice can get a bit tired. We don't have any fancy corporate speeches here; we just try to answer the phones as they ring and help out the best we can before heading home. It’s just a regular group of people trying to do a decent day’s work.
