Cornershop Entertainment Limited

Cornershop Entertainment Limited is based in Nutunpada, right by Garia Station in Calcutta. It’s a very busy part of the city, especially with the trains coming and going all the time. The office is in an older building that has a lot of character and some steep stairs. We work in entertainment, which sounds more exciting than it actually is on a daily basis. Most of the time we are just sitting at desks, making phone calls, and organizing various schedules. It’s a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff that people don't usually see. The street noise from Garia is pretty constant, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We aren't a big, polished company with a PR team. We are just a bunch of people who like the entertainment world and found a way to work in it. Our office is a bit of a mess with posters, old tapes, and stacks of papers everywhere. We don't really follow a strict corporate dress code or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable and focus on the work at hand. Sometimes we stay late when a big project is finishing up, and the whole place feels a bit more alive then. We don't have any grand slogans. We just try to do a good job and keep things moving. Calcutta is a great place to be for this kind of work, even if it’s a bit chaotic at times. We’re just happy to be here in Nutunpada.
