Coral Ice Cream Parlour

Our little shop, Coral Ice Cream Parlour, is tucked away in Borivali East on the 19th Main Road. If you know the 2nd Block, we are at D/16. It is a quiet enough corner most of the time, though it picks up a lot in the evenings. We keep the freezers running all day and night to make sure everything stays cold. People usually stop by after dinner or on those really hot afternoons when the Mumbai heat gets to be too much. It is a small space with just enough room for a few people to stand around and wait. We don’t have fancy seating or anything like that, just a counter and the ice cream. Most kids from the nearby buildings know us by name now. It is funny how you see them grow up over the years. We try to keep the glass clean so everyone can see the different tubs clearly. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and that is always a worry, but we manage. The 19th Main Road can get a bit dusty with the traffic, so we are always wiping down the shelves. It’s just a normal ice cream place for the local people here. Nothing too special, just cold stuff in cups or cones. We open up in the morning and stay late until the last person leaves. It feels like a good way to spend the day. We don't do deliveries or anything like that, you just have to come by and see us.
