Combine Engineering Works

Combine Engineering Works is located at No - 240/C in the old Bombay Talkies Compound. We are right near the Somwari Bazar and beside Rolex Marble in Malad West. This place has a lot of history because of the old film studios that used to be here. Now, it’s mostly small workshops like ours. We do engineering jobs, mostly fixing parts or making small components for bigger machines. The space is a bit cramped and the walls are stained with years of oil. We have a few lathes and some welding equipment that we use every day. It gets very busy on bazaar days because there are so many people moving around outside. I’ve worked in this compound for most of my life. You get used to the noise of the other shops around you. Sometimes we share tools or help a neighbor with a heavy lift. It’s a tight community of workers here. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just have to come into the workshop and look at the bench. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Sometimes the rain floods the yard a little, but we just put on our boots and keep going. It’s just how things are at the Bombay Talkies compound. We have been here a long time and we know our job.
