If you head down to the industrial area in Goregaon East, you’ll find Colour Coat India at Gala number 2. We are situated in the Gautam Industrial Estate, right near Swati Studio. It’s a busy spot with a lot of noise from the other workshops around us. We spend our days dealing with all kinds of industrial coating and paint work. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or paint drops, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s a practical workspace where we actually do the work. The smells of chemicals and metal are pretty strong most days. We’ve been in this gala for quite some time now. Being near the studio means there’s always something happening on the street outside. Sometimes it’s hard to find the entrance if you don’t know where to look. We usually have a few guys working on different parts at once. It’s a small operation but we stay busy. We take our lunch breaks together when things quiet down for a bit. There’s no big sign or flashing lights, just our name on the door and the work piling up. We like being in Goregaon because it’s a good hub for these kinds of industrial jobs. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders. It’s hard work but it pays the bills.
