Cloud 9 Fine Chocolate

Our little spot is located at B 202 in the Bombay Market building over in Umarwada, Bandra West. It is a bit of a maze in here sometimes but once you find us, it is quite nice. We work with chocolate all day which sounds better than it actually is because it is very sticky and messy. The air conditioning has to stay on all the time so the stuff does not melt in the Bombay heat. We are not a big factory or anything like that. It is just a small workspace where we do everything by hand. We spend a lot of time tempering and molding and then wrapping things up in foil. Bandra is a fast place but inside our room things move a bit slower because you cannot rush chocolate. We started this a few years back because we wanted to see if we could make something ourselves. There have been many days where things did not go right and we had to start over. That is just part of the learning. We do not have a fancy shopfront on the main road. Most people find us through friends or by wandering into the market. It is a quiet way to run a business but it suits us just fine. We just keep our heads down and keep working on the next batch while the city carries on outside.
