You can find us over at Citigroup Global Serives Ltd in Mumbai, specifically at C/201 Ajit Nagar in J.B. Nagar. We are right in the heart of Andheri East, which is probably one of the busiest and most crowded places you could ever work in. Traffic outside on the way to the office is always a nightmare, but once we get inside the Ajit Nagar building, it's just a lot of people sitting at desks and staring at screens for hours. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff for the bank, which means there is a lot of data entry and checking numbers over and over again until they are right. It’s not the kind of glamorous banking job you see in movies; it’s mostly just making sure the records are correct and the systems are running smoothly. The office is pretty standard for Andheri—lots of cubicles, some flickering lights, and a lot of people drinking tea to stay awake during the afternoon slump. Rather than seeing the customers ourselves, we just deal with the paperwork and the digital side of things. It’s a long commute for most of us on the local trains, so we are usually pretty tired, but the work has to get done regardless of how we feel. J.B. Nagar has a lot of little food stalls nearby, so we usually grab a quick snack like a vada pav and get back to the grind. It's just how things go in a city as big and fast as this, and we have been doing it.
